Online Optimism’s COVID-19 Policy

Online Optimism has decided that, as of November 1st, 2021, all Optimists and Specialists will be required to be vaccinated. All of our current employees are vaccinated, and we sincerely thank them for doing their part. Going forward, the company will not employ, contract, or grant privileges to a person who is not fully vaccinated.

For those seeking exemptions from the policy, we ask that they follow the instructions below:

  • For religious exemptions, individuals will need to email a letter to Leadership and Operations, stating that their vaccination against COVID-19 would violate a sincerely held religious belief and the vaccination would in fact violate a sincerely held religious belief of the person.
  • For medical exemption requests, individuals will need to provide the name and license number of the healthcare provider stating that being vaccinated against COVID-19 is medically inadvisable due to the person’s medical condition and it is in fact medically inadvisable for the person to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
  • For the World Health Organization (W.H.O.) exemption, individuals will need to send proof of vaccination of a W.H.O. approved vaccine and provide dates of vaccination.

This policy is in place for the health and safety of our staff, clients, and greater community. We have healthcare clients and part of this responsibility is following healthcare policies ourselves, including vaccine mandates.
