Sam Olmsted
New Orleans Managing Director
As New Orleans Managing Director, Sam is responsible for ensuring that our team is working toward our shared vision: to be the marketing agency that organizations in and around New Orleans want to work with and people aspire to work for.
Sam oversees Online Optimism’s New Orleans office, pitches local companies to grow our business, and maintains relationships with existing clients with the goal of encouraging client retention. Most importantly, Sam works to keep Online Optimism’s employees happy so they can continue to produce outstanding digital marketing results for local, regional, and national clients.
Sam has worked in numerous marketing agencies including IPG Mediabrands and Momentum Worldwide, creating campaigns for Fortune 500 companies and some of the biggest brands in the world. From there, Sam performed digital marketing for a software startup that sold a no-code application development platform. Sam has worked in a variety of industries including marketing, real estate, events production, software, and education. He brings his diverse skillset and insights to every task.
Sam grew up in Washington D.C. and moved to New Orleans to pursue a degree in Management, with concentrations in Entrepreneurship and Finance from Tulane University. Outside of the office, Sam is constantly thinking of new business ventures, dog photography, and even moonlights as an illustrator in his free time.
