Case Study: Building Buzz for Goodbee Plumbing and Drains


Goodbee Plumbing and Drains came to us to create a new website, utilizing digital ads to expand their reach beyond the Northshore and develop a consistent content and SEO strategy. They also wanted to increase their brand’s visibility, grow their team of experts, extend the drain cleaning component of their business, and become the go-to plumbing company in the area.

Goodbee has been known for providing excellent work, never overcharging, and often doing same-day visits. However, they still needed to expand their customer base beyond the areas they were serving, highlight overlooked services, and create a more substantial online presence.

Online Optimism stepped in to match their voice and standards, highlight drain cleaning, build domain authority, and establish Goodbee as a leader in their industry. We redesigned their website in early 2021 to make it more user-friendly, up-to-date, and on-brand. Once the site launched in May 2021, we began doing content/SEO and Google Ads. Then, in July 2021, we started posting social media ads on Facebook and LinkedIn.


The Online Optimism team took the insights from the Goodbee team and paired them with our research, and began rebuilding the brand. Our Google Ads team ran search, remarketing, and display awareness ads, predominantly focusing on drain cleaning. The content team created two blog posts monthly and worked with journalists to provide expert responses for their articles. The social media team monitored and responded to any queries, posted five organic posts on Facebook and LinkedIn each week, and ran Facebook and LinkedIn ads. We also had quarterly photoshoots to ensure the images we used were up-to-date and high-quality.


With consistent posting, monitoring trends, and conducting keyword research, we were able to achieve the following results for Goodbee Plumbing and Drains in the last 6 months:
