New Out of State Medical Leave Policy for Optimists

On June 3rd, 2022, Online Optimism added the following policy to our employee handbook for full-time, permanent employees at our agency (effective their first day of work).

As part of our wellness benefits, Online Optimism has an understanding that treatment for certain medical procedures are only available in certain parts of the country. As part of our employee benefits, we will pay for airfare to our Washington, DC offices, in addition to one night’s hotel stay anytime. No questions will be asked about your medical treatment – simply let us know your dates and our Operations team will coordinate. In addition, your PTO policy includes unlimited sick days, which cover your physical and mental wellbeing, should you need them before or after your procedure.
