As Design Director at Online Optimism, Juan Pablo (JP) leads all design projects from brand identity creation to website development. He takes creative approaches to simplifying information while ensuring consistency and aesthetics. Since joining Online Optimism, he has launched over a dozen mobile-ready websites for clients across the country and proudly created materials, such as infographics and animations, for clients in a variety of industries.
Prior to joining us, Juan Pablo’s devotion to higher education and soft drinks, led him to roles at the University of New Orleans’ Marketing and Communications department, where he ran the production of University advertising; and at PepsiCo’s Latin American operation, where he headed the creative plan for Mountain Dew’s launch at quick-service restaurants in the region. His passion for design and technology have led him to being featured in The Los Angeles Times and New Orleans CityBusiness for accomplishments such as designing the first Snapchat Geofilter in New Orleans.
Juan Pablo is originally from Guatemala City and earned a B.S. in Marketing from the University of New Orleans. As a native Spanish speaker, he brings the opportunity for us to help our clients reach Hispanic audiences. When he’s not designing at the office, JP is usually at the Apple Store or at home watching Friends.
