Passionate about analytics?
Ready to become more Optimistic?

As an Analytics Strategist at Online Optimism, you’re the first line of response to solving business problems via Google Analytics, Facebook insights, and all of the other platforms that our various teams use to handle digital marketing efforts. Our ideal candidate will easily able to switch from setting up Goals in Google Analytics, to creating beautiful dashboards via Google Data Studio, to analyzing ad performance in Meta’s Business platform, to making recommendations on clients’ websites based on Hotjar tracking and reporting.

Our Optimists can work anywhere in the US. If you’re located in New Orleans, Atlanta, or Washington, DC, you’re welcome to work in one of our permanent offices in those cities.

If you’re looking for a place to grow where your work (and you) will be appreciated and rewarded, you’ll find a home at Online Optimism.

You’ll be working as a member of our Growth team, assisting all departments (and our clients) with their data questions and insights.

We expect your job to consist of the following:
  • 35% – Implementation of the four main Google products us and our clients use: Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio and Google Search Console. This includes creating the reports, updating them, fixing bugs, and keeping them consistent to ours and our clients’ brands.
  • 35% – Providing insights across all client accounts based on data gathered via each network’s platforms, including:
    • Social Media: Meta [Facebook + Instagram], LinkedIn, Twitter, Reddit, Pinterest, Snapchat, and TikTok
    • SEM: Google Ads, Bing Ads
    • Programmatic Ads
    • SEO: Google’s tools, MOZ, SEMrush, Ahrefs
  • 20% – Joining account executives to communicate with clients about your insights.
  • 10% – Learning new platforms, and assisting our own marketing to establish Online Optimism at the leading edge of the analytics space.
We are requiring candidates to have the following items:
  • Google Analytics Individual Qualification
  • Experience previously setting up dashboards via Google Data Studio (or a similar tool)
  • Experience helping clients set up Google Tag Manager
  • Significant knowledge with either Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
  • At least 2+ years in an analytics-centered, or related role at a marketing agency
In addition, the below are not required, but would be seen as assets if you have them:
  • Meta Blueprint Certifications
  • Experience with non-Meta social media network analytics
  • Experience with Supermetrics
  • Experience with GA4
  • Basic HTML knowledge
  • Previous experience handling UX/UI audits/insights for clients
